Stretch marks occur especially in areas sensitive to variations in weight, on the abdomen, hips, breasts and the upper thighs regions. They mostly occur on people who have poor skin elasticity. To prevent stretch marks is important to keep our skin hydrated and to avoid drastic diets.
I chose to present my personal favorite remedies:
1. Egg whites and olive oil
This is a simple and cheap stretch mark treatment that has amazing effects. After a few weeks of constant use, you’ll notice that the skin is much smoother and stretch marks are barely observable. It is good to know that stretch marks occur when collagen fibers and proteins in the dermis are affected by the sudden stretching of the skin. Therefore, you have to redo this treatment because egg white is excellent in this mather, as it is rich in proteins and amino acids.
- 2 egg whites
- ½ cup olive oil
After you exfoliate your skin gently pour the egg whites on the stretch marks and let it act until it dries. Rinse whites and hydrate your skin with olive oil. Simple and effective!
2. Coffee and argan oil
Argan oil has become very popular lately, thanks to the sensational effects on the skin. Beside the moisture effect it also nourishes in depth and contributes to the skin regeneration. For this treatment against stretch marks, you need:
- Coffee grounds
- Argan oil
3 tablespoons of coffee grounds and 3 tablespoons of argan oil is usuely enough for this exfoliating treatment. The quantity of the ingredients may increase, depending on the size of the area you want to treat. Be gentle when you massage the coffee and argan oil mixture because it may cause irritations.
3. Castor oil
This treatment with castor oil involves massaging the area effected by stretch marks. Every night before sleep you have to repeat the process until you notice improvements.
